WISE has been built using open protocol J2EE technologies with a component based architecture. It uses aSAPXcess Enterprise Integration Framework as the infrastructure component to connect and extract data from SAP. It can be deployed on a J2EE application server environment, which makes it a very portable, interoperable and scalable solution. 

Open protocol Portal framework software components have been bundled with WISE to create a sophisticated and comprehensive web based WISE Portal system. WISE provides a robust security infrastructure and implements role and user based access plus more sophisticated LDAP / PKI-based access control and encryption. SAP Reporting Tool
